Hey there! Quick question that's completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My web site looks weird when browsing from my iphone. I'm trying to find a template or plugin that
might be able to correct this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share.

I agree it's a bad idea - and I hope you're right that it's dead and gone. I always regarded it as an attempt by the SNP leadership to subvert the will of the membership, to give them a little bone but with continued Ministerial office the main objective.

I think you could possibly write lefty lawyer Ian Smart into the script as the arch baddy the Master.

In this instance he has the Doctor's number, spotting that the whole thing's going to be called off, with those Dalek Unionists taking the blame for their evil intransigence.

It would certainly match the unforeseen twist you've related to here - at least in scope anyway.

And Doctor Who Salmond would stretch out his Time Travelling political life to fight another day.

Why would an SNP type only watch McCoy & Tennant? Because they are the only Scottish ones? That is a suprising stereotype to find on Better Nation. Personally I am of the John Pertwee & Jo, Brigader & Unit, dinosaurs invading London vintage. I think for most people their favourite Dr Who is the one they watched as a child really.

As for the substance of the post, it would be unfortunate if the Greens got together and declared their support for a Devo Plus/Devo Max option at their Conference. Cos it should be round about then that the Scottish Government rules it out.

That ship has sailed. Nobody stopped it, climbed on board and took control of the rudder. I should probably stop the nautical metaphors now. But, seriously, it’s a dead parrot.

Alex Salmond as Dr Who? Makes a difference from the usual names that get flung at him. But I am afraid there will be only one question, not two and certainly not three. Salmond may be aware of the desire for more power in Scotland but his preference has always been for a simple "single" question.
You have to remember that this is simply the public consultation part, the real horse trading will come later and will take some time to iron out. I wouldn't expect the Union to with the UK to cease until 2020 or thereabouts. You can't rush anything like this. It's that important

The no camp missed a trick by dismissing it themselves - but they continue to believe that Salmond wants it, so have done all in their power to deny it to him. When he comes out and opts for the single question in 2014, they are going to drive themselves to distraction.

But I do like the Dr Who analogy - He always wins by confusing his enemies and outsmarting them.

I am writing this under the assumption that most readers will be aquainted with Dr Who

In the last series of Doctor Who the Doctor asks his Tardis why it never takes him where he wants to go, to which it replies, “but I always took you where you needed to go”.

Why d'you get it right the second time?

And, Salmond just aint s-e-e-xy enough.

There will only be a yes/no question. Time for the greens to join the yes campaign and start shouting loudly for a progressive vision of an independent Scotland. Judging on the good attendance at an SSP led event last week in Edinburgh, there's a real appetite out there to discuss more radical options than are currently being offered.
